Bluff View Inn - T.C. Thompson House
As the original residence of former Chattanooga Mayor Thompson, and today as the Inn’s second bed & breakfast home, this 1908 Victorian-style house has welcomed many travelers passing through Chattanooga. Today, two apartment-sized suites and four private guest rooms provide relaxing overnight accommodations. Corporate rates are available.
TC Thompson King Suite
Located on the 2nd floor (stairs) of the Thompson house, this suite offers a king-size bed, a private balcony overlooking the charming courtyard of Bluff View Art District and a sunrise view of the Tennessee River down the way. This apartment-size suite features hardwood floors, two gas fireplaces, a large bathroom with a jetted tub-shower and a kitchenette with a breakfast table and chairs. A twin-size sleeper sofa in a separate sitting area affords the space and privacy needed for that special family getaway.
Mabelle Thompson Queen Suite
Located on the 2nd floor (stairs) of the Thompson House, this apartment-suite has a queen-size bed and a sitting area in front of a gas fireplace. A walk-through bathroom with an over-sized jetted tub-shower connects the bedroom to a cozy sitting room with stained glass windows, a gas fireplace, and a queen-size sleeper sofa. Both rooms can be closed with antique pocket doors. Honeymooners will enjoy the luxurious privacy, while families will appreciate the spacious rooms with hardwood floors and the kitchenette with dining table and chairs.
Newell Room
Located on the 1st floor of the Thompson House, the Newell Room has a king-size bed in a large bay window. This bright, spacious room has a sofa and marble-top coffee table, armoire, chaise lounge and a standard tub-shower in the bathroom.
Hunter Room
On the 1st floor of the Thompson House, the Hunter Room has a queen-size bed, bay window and updated furnishings. This well-lit room is great for the early riser.
Maclellan Room
On the 1st floor of the Thompson House, the Maclellan Room has a queen-size bed, a small writing desk and a cozy armchair. This room overlooks beautiful azalea bushes and a European-style courtyard.
Chambliss Room
Located on the 1st floor of the Thompson House, this room is perfect for the savvy business traveler, the Chambliss Room has a full-size bed, antique armoire and small writing desk overlooking Tony's Pasta Shop. During the lively weekends at Tony’s, there can be an increase in noise level outside of this room.
