BLUFF VIEW ART DISTRICT PHOTOGRAPHY POLICY
Bluff View Art District welcomes visitors to enjoy and photograph our historic neighborhood, gardens, architecture, artwork, and outdoor spaces.

Bluff View Art District is privately owned property. All photography conducted on District property is subject to the rules outlined below. By entering District property and engaging in photography, visitors agree to comply with these policies and with all instructions provided by Bluff View Art District.

CASUAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Visitors may take casual photographs for personal, non-commercial use in publicly accessible outdoor areas, provided that such photography does not interfere with District operations, businesses, residents, tenants, events, artwork, landscaping, or the enjoyment of other guests.

Casual photography is limited to small groups. Photography involving larger groups, organized gatherings, multiple participants, professional equipment, props, staged scenes, or any activity that may impact District operations or guest experience may require a Photography Pass or other prior approval from Bluff View Art District.

PHOTOGRAPHY REQUIRING A PHOTOGRAPHY PASS

A Bluff View Art District Photography Pass is required for:

  • Portrait, engagement, family, maternity, graduation, branding, senior, or styled photography sessions

  • Professional or amateur client photography sessions, whether paid or unpaid

  • Photography using cameras, tripods, lighting equipment, reflectors, backdrops, props, or similar equipment

  • Photography involving models, sets, costume changes, or staged scenes

  • Commercial photography, videography, advertising, publications, influencer content, or promotional projects

  • Any photography activity that impacts pedestrian traffic, guest enjoyment, District operations, or business activity

  • Any photography activity deemed by Bluff View Art District management to require a Photography Pass

PHOTOGRAPHY RULES

All visitors, photographers, and participants must:

  • Remain in publicly accessible and authorized areas

  • Follow all directions provided by Bluff View Art District staff

  • Avoid blocking walkways, entrances, businesses, driveways, or pedestrian traffic

  • Climbing on structures, fountains, walls, railings, sculptures, artwork, or landscaping features is prohibited

  • Avoid moving furniture, plants, artwork, signage, or decorative elements

  • Remove all equipment and trash following a photography session

  • Respect guests, residents, tenants, businesses, and private events

The following are prohibited:

  • Smoke bombs, fog machines, confetti, glitter, birdseed, rice, or residue-producing materials

  • Photography involving nudity, sexually explicit content, unsafe conduct, or unlawful activity

The following are prohibited without prior written authorization:

  • Drones

  • Amplified music or speakers

  • Large props, sets, tents, changing stations, or similar installations

  • Photography of artwork or exhibits

ENFORCEMENT

Bluff View Art District reserves the right to modify, interpret, or enforce these policies at its sole discretion and may deny, restrict, terminate, or revoke photography privileges at any time. Individuals who violate District policies or fail to comply with staff instructions may be required to leave the property.
